I just realize how very terrible I am when it comes to puns. I appreciate all your comments. It’s Only then that I get an ‘aha!’ moment.
I must say, most gemstones melt at alarmingly high temperatures, some vastly higher than most rocks. And most just go through sublimation and turn into vapor without melting. Diamond clocks in at 4726.85 °C while Rubies are about 2050 (interestingly Sapphires tend to be 2040). So those volcanoes are a geological masterpiece by themselves.
