This seems like the most appropriate page to post this: Can someone link me to somewhere where this site’s comment system is explained? Specifically stuff about profile images… And if profiles are even a thing on this site? What holds people away from impersonating other users, as pointless and confusing as that sounds?

So, it seems to work like this:
Profile images are pulled from Gravatar. Just create a Gravatar account with your email, and this site will automatically pull your profile image from there.
This site’s comment system has no central control/notification system. To maintain a conversation, you have to manually go back and check if a reply has been made.
To prevent fraud, email adresses are required and viewable by site staff.
A lot of this seems a bit… Old-school, but serviceable nonetheless.
I like the little bird on redwood’s head
